Edmund and the Wardrobe (The L, W & W-chapter 3)

Edmund and Lucy both get into Narnia through the wardrobe, but they are very different characters. How would you compare the character Edmund to his sister Lucy? How does he act? What kind of attitude does he have? Is the author developing Edmund as a likeable character or an unlikeable character? What does Edmund do in the story that makes you think so?

  1. I would compare Lucy and Edmund together; because Lucy has a nicer attitude than Edmund his attitude is more mean and bulling. He is acting like if Lucy is crazy, but he does all of it with the other siblings. He has a strong know it all attitude. In my thoughts I think that the author is putting him as an unlikeable person. The thing that made me think of Edmund more that he didn't tell Lucy who he meet after all the things she told him about the White Witch.

  2. What you can compare about them two is that they have a different attitude. Edmund has a sort of mean, and that he always wants to be right. Lucy has a attitude that is nice, and is always kind to others. The author describes him as a unlikable person because even though he saw that Narnia existed he betrayed Lucy and told them that she was just playing around.

  3. Edmund is a mean, unlikable character and when you compare Lucy to Edmund there's a big difference; Lucy is a nice, calm little girl, ON THE OTHER SIDE, Edmund is a mean, lying boy who likes making Lucy's miserable. He said Narnia wasn't real and he was just playing along with Lucy. He cares more about being a Prince and Turkish Delight than his sister.
